What is calledFluoroplastic£¿£¿£¿£¿£¿£¿£¿£¿
Plastics containing fluorine atoms in their molecular formula are generally called fluoroplastics. Fluoroplastics consist of fluorine content alone. Such as tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoroethylene, trifluoroethylene, vinylidene fluoride and vinyl fluoride, etc., which are produced through homopolymerization or copolymerization. With the continuous advancement of polymer material technology, the types of fluoroplastics have gradually increased, and their application fields have expanded. Because the molecular formula of fluorine plastic contains fluorine atoms, it has many excellent properties, such as good insulation properties, extremely high temperature resistance, significant wear resistance, water wash resistance and abrasion resistance, good moisture resistance and Low temperature resistance. Therefore, fluoroplastic products occupy an important position in national security, mechanical and electrical engineering, metallurgical industry, petrochemical equipment and other industrial sectors.

In the production process of power cables, common fluoroplastics include polytetrafluoroethylene, polyperfluoroethylene, polyvinyl fluoride, tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene copolymers, etc., which are used to manufacture various high-temperature resistant and continuous high-temperature insulated cables, well logging (oil) cables, geological environment detection cables, heating cables, F-class and H-class motor lead wires, radiation-resistant wires, special cables, radio frequency coaxial cables, etc.
The development history of fluoroplastics
In my country, the fluorine-containing plastic molding industry began to develop in the 1960s. In the 1960s and 1970s, it was mainly used in national defense science and technology. After the 1980s, the military-civilian integration and promotion work were strengthened, which made the fluorine-containing plastic molding industry develop rapidly. After 40 years of development, our manufacturers have basically mastered the most important molding and processing technology. Such as vacuum molding, isobaric molding, extrusion molding (plunger pump extrusion molding, spiral extrusion molding and paste extrusion molding), transfer molding, rotational molding, expanded rhinoplasty molding, prepreg, spray painting, chemical nickel plating, injection molding, injection molding and other molding and processing technologies. Fluoroplastic products are widely used in all walks of life in the social economy.

Performance characteristics of fluoroplastics
Performance characteristics of fluoroplastics: polytetrafluoroethylene and perfluoro (butadiene-pe) polymer (FEP) are composed entirely of oxygen atoms and fluorine atoms, while the molecular structure of polyvinyl fluoride (PVDF) and polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) also contains hydrogen atoms, and polychlorotrifluoroethylene also contains chlorine atoms. The outstanding performance of fluoroplastics is achieved through the high electronegativity between oxygen atoms and fluorine atoms.
1. Thermal properties Fluoroplastics are flame retardant and have excellent temperature resistance. The continuous use temperature of PTFE and PFA can reach 260¡ãC, and can be used from 300¡ãC for a short period of time. The application temperature of FEP is 60¡ãC lower than them. The highest temperature of PCTFE can be used at 120¡ãC. If fluoroplastics are used at high temperatures for a long time, the grain size will also change, which should be paid special attention to when producing equipment linings.
2. Chemical resistance Fluoroplastics have excellent chemical resistance and solvent resistance, especially PTFE, PFA, FEP, etc., which are not corrosive to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. However, molten alkaline earth metals, fluorine, and trifluorochlorocarbons have a great impact on them. PCTFE, ETFE, and PVDF have slightly weaker chemical resistance among fluoroplastics, but their corrosion resistance is much better than other plastics.
3. Electrical properties The electrical properties of fluoroplastics, especially high-frequency electrical properties, are unmatched by other materials. The positive and negative polarity of PTFE, FEP, and PFA molecules are relatively low, and the changes are small in such a wide temperature and operating frequency range. The dielectric constant is stable, the dielectric loss is relatively low, and the insulation is excellent. Among them, PVDF also has special piezoelectricity and pyroelectricity, which can be used to manufacture piezoelectric profiles.
4. Mechanical properties The tensile strength increases with the increase of peroxide and chlorine atoms in the molecular structure of fluoroplastics. The aging temperature of PTFE and PCTFE is very low, showing good low-temperature performance. PTFE has relatively low friction resistance and special self-lubricating properties. However, PTFE also has problems such as self-wear and diamond-level cold flow. Various fillers can be added to improve wear resistance and get rid of cold flow.
5. Non-stickiness Fluoroplastics have special non-stickiness. Especially in the molecular structure of PTPE, FEP, PFA, etc., the fluorine content is high and the surface tension is particularly large.Fluoroplastic productsThe liquid on the surface is spherical. It is not easy to bond with epoxy resin, so it is often used to make non-stick coatings on kitchenware.
6. Weather resistance: All types of fluoroplastics have excellent aging resistance. Even if they are exposed to the sun for a long time under severe temperatures, their various properties remain unchanged.
7. Hydrophobicity Fluoroplastic has low water absorption rate, especially PTFE. It can be used to produce breathable and water-tight composite fabrics and other equipment.
